Inspired by traditional Chinese culture, the Tile Chair takes its form from roof tiles, creating a bentwood seat that combines functionality with cultural significance.
The chair's backrest and seat plate simulate the shape of tiles through elegant and smooth curves, echoing the dynamic beauty of traditional rooftops. Using a contemporary minimalist language, the design reconstructs this architectural element.
Stacking the Tile Chairs resembles the layered arrangement of tiles, reducing transportation costs while providing a wellpackaged experience for users. Additionally, the use of lightweight and malleable bentwood material aligns with sustainable development concepts. The overall structure presents a geometric aesthetic reminiscent of architecture, while the internal curves incorporate ergonomic considerations.
